Privacy Policy

Redlands Football Club — how we handle your information

1. Who We Are

This policy covers redlandsfootballclub.com and the programs, shop and newsletter offered through it by Redlands Football Club ("Redlands FC", "the Club", "we"), based in Redlands, California. Questions? Email hello@redlandsfootballclub.com.

2. What We Collect

We collect only what we need for what you ask us to do:

  • Program sign-ups (clinics, camps, tryouts): the player's name, date of birth or age, the parent or guardian's name, email and phone, an emergency contact, any allergies or medical conditions you choose to tell us about, and your answers to the program's questions.
  • Shop orders: your name, email, phone, shipping address and what you ordered.
  • Payments: card payments are handled by Stripe (program sign-ups) and Square (shop). We never see or store your full card number.
  • Newsletter: your email address, and your name if you give it.
  • Messages you send us, and the details in them.
  • Tickets are sold through our ticketing partner's site, and their privacy policy applies to what you give them.

When you browse the site, some information is collected automatically:

  • Google Analytics uses cookies to tell us which pages are visited, how people found us, and general device and location (city level). It doesn't tell us who you are.
  • Google reCAPTCHA checks newsletter sign-ups to stop spam.
  • Your shop cart is kept in your own browser until you check out.

3. How We Use It

  • To run our programs and keep players safe. Allergy, medical and emergency details are shared only with the coaches and staff who need them.
  • To take payments, fill and ship orders, and send confirmations, receipts and updates about what you signed up for or bought.
  • To send our newsletter, if you subscribe. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
  • To understand how the site is used so we can improve it, and to prevent spam and fraud.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.

4. Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Club, and only for that purpose:

  • Payment processors: Stripe and Square.
  • Shipping: Shippo and the carriers that deliver your order.
  • Email delivery: Amazon Web Services.
  • Website analytics and spam protection: Google.
  • The companies that host our website and systems.

We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of players, staff or others.

5. Children

Sign-ups for players under 18 must be made by a parent or guardian. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information without a parent, email us and we'll delete it.

6. Photos

We take photos and video at games and programs, as described in our Terms & Conditions. If you'd like a photo of you or your child taken down, email us.

7. Cookies and Your Choices

Google Analytics uses cookies only if you allow them. Visitors from the EU, the UK and Switzerland are asked first, and analytics cookies stay off until they accept. Anyone can change their choice with "Cookie settings" on our Contact tab. The spam check on our newsletter form and your shop cart need small amounts of storage to work, and these aren't used for tracking. We use no advertising cookies.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on. The site still works without them. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time.

8. How Long We Keep It

We keep sign-up and order records as long as we need them to run programs, handle refunds, and meet accounting and legal requirements, and then delete them. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe.

9. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and payments are handled by providers built for it. No system is perfectly secure, so if you ever think something is wrong, please tell us.

10. Your California Privacy Rights

If you live in California, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have about you and how we use it, and get a copy of it.
  • Ask us to correct or delete it.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We don't sell or share it.
  • Be treated the same if you use any of these rights.

To make a request, email hello@redlandsfootballclub.com. We'll confirm it's you before acting on it, and you can have someone you authorize make a request for you. Wherever you live, you're welcome to ask us the same things.

11. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date below. For a significant change, we'll put a notice on the site.
